He also noted that the league had been halted since early April due to the coronavirus pandemic and Bundesliga is the first and only major football league to be back in action.

Premier League clubs-target Timo Werner remains in sterling form for RB Leipzig and would continue to disrupt the transfer market if he continues to score goals.

Barcelona’s loanee, Philippe Coutinho is set to miss some actions for his side, Bayern Munich, due to injury. All eyes would be watching Jadon Sancho perform his magic for Dortmund.

La Liga Resumes June 11: Here’s What to Expect and Where to Watch

It has been 82 days since La liga suspended fixtures due to the coronavirus pandemic with 11 games left to play. We are all curious about where to watch the games to be played.

LaLiga announced the Spanish top-flight would resume on June 11 starting with a derby match between Sevilla and Real Betis. Matches would take place every day across five weeks so that the season can come to an end by the 19th of July.

DStv and GOtv sports channels would resume the league’s live broadcasts on SuperSports 7 for DStv and SuperSports 4 for GOtv. Subscribe your DStv and GOtv now to catch the action as e dey hot!

In the spirit of footballing excitement, here’s what to expect from the return of La Liga Santander:

la liga resume

Tight Race for the Title

It’s not over yet at the top of the table as Barcelona sits only two points away from Real Madrid. The men in white beat their long time rivals 2-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu to climb on top of the table; only to lose their position again to Barca when they lost to formidable Real Sociedad.

Sevilla remains in hot pursuit with only 9 points behind Madrid and one point away from Real Sociedad. 3 straight losses for any of Barcelona or Madrid within 11 games could hand the trophy to teams in third or fourth position.

The race is on! Anything can happen.

Quite Grounds

Games would very much be played behind closed doors and this would greatly transform the usual electrifying atmosphere of Spanish football.

For clubs with 60,000+ capacity like Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Athletico Madrid, the quite grounds would tell on players’ mentality as well as clubs’ finance.

For clubs with smaller capacity but powerful fan-pulled atmospheres like Real Betis and Athletico Bilbao, home games might be a bit boring to watch; not counting how badly this would affect players’ spirit.

Injury Returns

Real Madrid’s Eden Hazard who underwent surgery on a broken foot in March and Barcelona’s top ace, Luis Suarez who operated his right knee in January are both set to return fully for the rest of the games.

The injuries would have seen them out for the rest of the season had it been the suspension never happened. Now they would play out the season with their teammates. The question remains: how would these heavyweights players influence the game for their respective clubs?

Athletico Madrid fight for Top-4

Atletico Madrid’s momentous win over Liverpool in the Champions League offered Diego Simeone some relief after a disappointing season in LaLiga.

His team sits sixth in the table, having long fallen out of the reckoning for the title. They now fight to even qualify for the 2020/2021 Champions League.

Ahead of them between fifth and third are Getafe, Real Sociedad, and Sevilla; all of who are in top form with only two points between the four. Atletico cannot afford to be complacent.

Pressure at the Bottom

For teams at the other end of the table, things aren’t looking all bright. Espanyol looks doomed, sitting in the 20th spot, six points adrift of safety.

In 18th place is Leganes who still has to play away at Barcelona before hosting Real Madrid. Two tough matches that can blow them off.

One point separates Mallorca, Celta Vigo, and Eibar, all of whom are not completely safe from the relegation zone. For all of them, the pressure is on.

Race for the Golden boot

Lionel Messi remains in contention for the league top scorer award with teammate Suarez and Madrid’s sharpshooter, Karim Benzema. Hmmmn, we just can’t wait to see the goals heap in again!

Football Returns! Official Resumption Dates of Major Leagues

The past three months have been horrible for the world of football due to the global pandemic. The king of sports was suspended in many leagues globally, pending the die down of Coronavirus, and fans just can’t wait for its resumption.

Our fight over Covid-19 took a winning edge two months back, enough to allow the resumption of minor economic activities as well as sports world over. Since then, football fans have been looking over their shoulders expectantly.

Major leagues are officially scheduled to resume at several dates in the month of June! German Bundesliga officially resumed on May 16 and gave everyone a headstart of what to expect from post-pandemic football:

football resumption

How Football might be different post-pandemic

  • No fans in the stands. Football resumption would see matches been played behind closed doors. Only players, team staffs, technical people, news crews, police, stadium workers, and a few others would be allowed into stadiums on match days.
  • Sanitization before substitution. It’s weird but players coming into an on-going game might have to sanitize themselves before stepping on the pitch. The usual hand-claps or embraces between the out-going and incoming players would stop for now.
  • Wearing face marks. The opening derby between Borussia Dortmund and Schalke had players on the bench putting on face masks and sitting two feet away from each other. This protective measure can equally apply to other leagues upon resumption.
  • Solo goal celebration. Goals make football and celebrating them adds to the fun. However, players may be advised to keep from touch/contact styles of celebration as seen from Haaland’s goal against Schalke.

Official Resumption dates of Major Leagues

Now to the main gist, here are dates of football resumption for the top 3 European leagues:

Subscribe your GOtv, DStv, or StarTimes now to catch up on the action

football resumption

English Barclays Premier League (EPL)

Known as the king of European football, the EPL is set to return on June 17 with a heavyweight match in the offing: Manchester City Vs Arsenal! Eyebrows are raised as to how the first EPL match after over 90 days would look like.

Liverpool FC is top of the table and with just 3 wins away from the trophy, the famous league action is set to focus more on the adrenaline run among clubs for top four Championship League qualification!

Spanish La Liga Santander

Favorite among lovers of technical gameplay, La Liga would make an earlier return than the EPL. The famous, hotly contested derby match between Real Betis and Sevilla would restart the league on June 11.

Defending champions Barcelona are two points ahead of Real Madrid at the top of the table with 11 matches remaining.

The top-4 quest is tighter than ever this season with Real Sociedad, Sevilla, Getafe, and Athletico de Madrid all punching hard for a place in 2021 Champions League!

Italian Seria A

Everyone would understand if Seria A authorities decide to terminate the unfinished 2019/20 season, but that’s not the case. Lovers of tactical defensive football can smile with relief as Seria A action would return on 20th June.

The announcement was made by the country’s sports minister, Vincenzo Spadafora. With leaders Juventus just one point clear second-placed Lazio, there are still a lot of title-claiming actions to see.

UEFA Champions League

We decided to save the best for the last. While fans of different leagues are excited at the return of their favorite football, all eyes are itching to see the completion of the top-flight competition.

When Athletico de Madrid performed a stunt against Liverpool at Anfield in a match that saw them win 3-2, fans simply knew the 2019/2020 Champions League was set to provide top entertainment in the final rounds.

We would have to wait longer as UEFA announced that the Champions League would likely resume on August 7-8.

The French Ligue Un was ended with PSG announced winners while the Dutch Eredivisie was named null: no winners, no relegations.

5 Benefits of Third-party Auto Insurance

Third party car insurance is a compulsory policy required for all car owners in Nigeria and is backed by law.

Third party car insurance cover or liability cover is a policy which protects the car owner or driver of the vehicle against any legal liability, accidental liability, financial loss or property damage, medical expense cover in the event of an injury to or even death of any third party arising out of their vehicle.

Asides from being a mandatory requirement for using the road for drivers, below are other benefits of having third-party auto insurance:

Provides Legal Cover and Financial Assistance:

Third-party auto insurance covers the insured person’s legal liability in case of death or disability to any third party, and any loss or damage to a third party property.

Ensures Peace of Mind:

Third-party auto insurance brings peace of mind when dealing with any traumatic situation that hinges on financial payments. Hence, instead of worrying further about such unforeseen expenses, the focus is just on the immediate relief from stress and coping up with the incident.

Security:

Third-party auto insurance gives you confidence when you get into a road accident and also covers you against violent reactions in cases of accident/loss.

Easy Round the Clock Availability of Third Party Car Insurance:

Unlike other insurance policies that are limited to only the offline method of renewal or application, VTpass third-party auto insurance is easily available online round-the-clock i.e 24/7, and 365 days a year from any location.

The shift of burden:

With third-party insurance, you do not need to worry over the third-party loss as the Insurer supports you in such instance.

Now that you understand why it is so important to invest in a third party car insurance, always remember that this is the best way to gain comprehensive coverage against losses that you might incur if your car gets damaged, stolen or causes injury, death, and damage to third-party or third party property.

How To Purchase Third-Party Auto Insurance Policy

Steps ;

1) Visit vtpass.com

What & How Can You Invoke The Third-Party Insurance Policy?

You can file a claim directly via the Insurance Company or the agent that underwrote the insurance policy for you. Make sure you have clear photo evidence, and receipts (in case you paid for part or the full claims already).

5 Secrets To Staying Motivated At Work

black man feeling tired and uninspired at work
black man feeling tired and uninspired at work

Nearly everyone has been through that phase/episode where you just lack the motivation to work and it starts to feel and as though nothing works.

Most times the lack of motivation at work could make you feel terrible, bored and frustrated about your business or career. However, we’ve got great news for you as we have compiled a short list to help you stay motivated while completing your daily tasks.

1. Don’t Think About it as Hard Work

Never think of your job as hard work.

Studies have shown that when a project you’re faced with isn’t viewed as drudgery, but rather as a piece of the puzzle that’s helping you along your career path, then perhaps the energy required to do it will be easier to come by.

Here’s how Marie Stein deals with feeling uninspired”at work;

I try not to think so much about how difficult or frustrating or impossible that might be; I just think about how good it must feel to be that, or how proud I might be to have done that. Make hard look easy.

2. Task Identity

Checklist for work done.

Work is most motivating when it’s clear what, exactly, you’re accomplishing. On the other hand, nothing is worse than working all day and thinking “What did I even do today?!”

To stay motivated at the end of each day or week, make a “Got Done” list (the opposite of to the to-do list!), where you outline all of the tasks you’ve completed. For extra motivation, keep it somewhere you can see.

3. Evaluate Task Significance

Always set your tasks in order of priority.

Another key to staying motivated is knowing that the work you’re doing makes a difference in some way—recognizing the impact you’re making on your clients, company, or the world.

If you’re not totally seeing this connection, try to dig deep. You could map your weekly sales reports to the increase in your company’s bottom lines or sales unit, Or make a list of the tasks you do that reduce this cost for your company and find ways to focus on those aspects of your job more often.

4. Focus on things that really matter

Did you know that doing things that don’t mean anything costs(us) a ton of mental energy?

FOCUS

Take a minute to go through your list and take off anything that’s both truly demotivating and unnecessary for you to do. It’s not always best to finish what you started if, down the line, you can’t even remember the reason you started something in the first place.

5. Celebrate Wins

Celebrating your wins

An acknowledgment of how good you are doing, no matter how small or big is a great step to boosting your motivation.

You may forget how crucial all the little wins are if you’re constantly waiting for a long-term payoff. So ensure to treat yourself and never underestimate how gratifying it can feel to recognize tiny advancements.

BUSINESS: COME FOR THE MONEY; STAY FOR THE COMMUNITY

Great things in business are never done by one person. They are done by a team of people- Steve Jobs.

It is a well-known fact that the main aim of dabbling in a business of your own or someone else’s is to make money. Indeed, making a profit is the drive behind every business. And this aim controls both the operations and principles of every organisation. In so much that entrepreneurs and employees employ various strategies just to get customers’ attention. However, in trying to sell products or services to customers, we mostly end up pushing them away. So, many organisations out there with the drive to make the most do not, in fact, draw the attention of the targets. The question is why is this so? Why do businesses with potentials suffer when they could as well thrive? Well, going through the success stories of various successful people brings the answer to fore. And the answer has to do with relationships, the community.

Before we go any further, it would be good to look into one successful uprising company. And that’s VTpass. VTpass is an online payment platform that allows for ease and speed while paying everyday bills. So, rather than change locations trying to pay electricity bills or tv subscriptions. You can easily pay these bills on vtpass.com. Again, you can renew your data subscription as well as buy airtime on vtpass.com. Better still, the new VTpass mobile app for Android serves this purpose well enough. You even get more ease and convenience with its more user-friendly, accessible features.

People are the core of every business. Businesses are based on relationships and relationships on people. I would go to an average restaurant run by amazing people over an outstanding restaurant run by awful people- Marcus Lemonis.

More than profit-making, what defines us at VTpass is our strong drive to build and maintain relationships with our customers. It is not enough to want our customers’ attention without giving them as much attention. So, as a brand, we believe in putting ourselves in a position that strengthens our relationships. This is because we believe that what stands any business out is the ability to start for the money and stay for the community.

And really, this should be a viable model for as many as own good businesses out there. It is quite tempting to want to keep pushing for the money. But looking beyond that and working with your customers to be better edges you more towards profit. So, it works this way. You have a very great idea. Of course, you want to get it out there and make money out of it. Good thing. But you should be ready to build a relationship with your customers and get them to like you as much as they like your business. And yes, when the profit seems to be hanging in the air, this is not a time to pull back engagement. Rather, you should make your involvement stronger. You should stay, and this will definitely get the attention of many. So yes, starting a business with profit in mind is a good thing. But continuing a business for the sake of becoming better for your customers and being their lifelong friend is the best.

Profit in business comes from repeat customers. Customers that boast about your project or service.  And that bring friends with them- Edward Demming.
