Liverpool eyes the trophy after 30 years

The Reds sits 25 points clear off second-place Manchester City and are 3 wins away from been crowned EPL Champions 2019/2020 season. Liverpool would most definitely be full of action as they campaign to clinch the trophy for the first time since 1990.

Fight for Top-4

All eyes would be fixed on Manchester United and Chelsea as each battle for a place in the top four. Ahead of both is Leicester City and Manchester City and below them, just 2 points under United is the formidable Wolves.

As a strategic partner, StarTimes resumed broadcast of all Bundesliga matches live and exclusive in Africa right from the first re-opener between Borussia Dortmund and Schalke.

According to StarTimes Sports Director, Shi Maochu; “It has been a very tough period for football around the world. We are very happy to have StarTimes bring back live football in Africa, and even more, as Bundesliga is one of the best leagues in the world.”

He also noted that the league had been halted since early April due to the coronavirus pandemic and Bundesliga is the first and only major football league to be back in action.

Barcelona’s loanee, Philippe Coutinho is set to miss some actions for his side, Bayern Munich, due to injury. All eyes would be watching Jadon Sancho perform his magic for Dortmund.

La Liga Resumes June 11: Here’s What to Expect and Where to Watch

It has been 82 days since La liga suspended fixtures due to the coronavirus pandemic with 11 games left to play. We are all curious about where to watch the games to be played.

LaLiga announced the Spanish top-flight would resume on June 11 starting with a derby match between Sevilla and Real Betis. Matches would take place every day across five weeks so that the season can come to an end by the 19th of July.

DStv and GOtv sports channels would resume the league’s live broadcasts on SuperSports 7 for DStv and SuperSports 4 for GOtv. Subscribe your DStv and GOtv now to catch the action as e dey hot!

In the spirit of footballing excitement, here’s what to expect from the return of La Liga Santander:

la liga resume

Tight Race for the Title

It’s not over yet at the top of the table as Barcelona sits only two points away from Real Madrid. The men in white beat their long time rivals 2-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu to climb on top of the table; only to lose their position again to Barca when they lost to formidable Real Sociedad.

Sevilla remains in hot pursuit with only 9 points behind Madrid and one point away from Real Sociedad. 3 straight losses for any of Barcelona or Madrid within 11 games could hand the trophy to teams in third or fourth position.

The race is on! Anything can happen.

Quite Grounds

Games would very much be played behind closed doors and this would greatly transform the usual electrifying atmosphere of Spanish football.

For clubs with 60,000+ capacity like Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Athletico Madrid, the quite grounds would tell on players’ mentality as well as clubs’ finance.

For clubs with smaller capacity but powerful fan-pulled atmospheres like Real Betis and Athletico Bilbao, home games might be a bit boring to watch; not counting how badly this would affect players’ spirit.

Injury Returns

Real Madrid’s Eden Hazard who underwent surgery on a broken foot in March and Barcelona’s top ace, Luis Suarez who operated his right knee in January are both set to return fully for the rest of the games.

The injuries would have seen them out for the rest of the season had it been the suspension never happened. Now they would play out the season with their teammates. The question remains: how would these heavyweights players influence the game for their respective clubs?

Athletico Madrid fight for Top-4

Atletico Madrid’s momentous win over Liverpool in the Champions League offered Diego Simeone some relief after a disappointing season in LaLiga.

His team sits sixth in the table, having long fallen out of the reckoning for the title. They now fight to even qualify for the 2020/2021 Champions League.

Ahead of them between fifth and third are Getafe, Real Sociedad, and Sevilla; all of who are in top form with only two points between the four. Atletico cannot afford to be complacent.

Pressure at the Bottom

For teams at the other end of the table, things aren’t looking all bright. Espanyol looks doomed, sitting in the 20th spot, six points adrift of safety.

In 18th place is Leganes who still has to play away at Barcelona before hosting Real Madrid. Two tough matches that can blow them off.

One point separates Mallorca, Celta Vigo, and Eibar, all of whom are not completely safe from the relegation zone. For all of them, the pressure is on.

Race for the Golden boot

Lionel Messi remains in contention for the league top scorer award with teammate Suarez and Madrid’s sharpshooter, Karim Benzema. Hmmmn, we just can’t wait to see the goals heap in again!

Why Your Decoder isn’t Reconnected After Subscribing for a GOtv or DStv Package.

It can be annoying not to get your GOtv or DStv viewing immediately after subscribing for a bouquet. That thing dey pain eh! You curl up on the sofa or balance in relaxation mode to catch the latest TV program only to see a blank screen.

The frustration is frustrating.

At VTpass, we are concerned about our users not being able to enjoy their viewing immediately after subscription. That is why we have put together several reasons that can be responsible for this and what you can do to speed up viewing when it happens.

The following are probable reasons why you may not view pictures after subscribing:

gotv and dstv reconnection

Your Decoder is Switched off

If your decoder was not switched on at the time of payment (which is a requirement for auto re-connection), viewing might not be reconnected automatically. Whenever you wish to renew GOtv or DStv subscription, always ensure that your decoder is turned on to ensure smooth reconnection.

Solution: When viewing doesn’t show as a result of this, a reconnection request has to be sent to Multichoice before you can be reconnected. Kindly contact VTpass support to do this. Alternatively, you can also follow the RESET instruction on the TV screen.

Downgrade/Upgrade of Package

Reconnection would be delayed if you have just changed your package (upgrade/downgraded your normal monthly bouquet). For example, you normally subscribe DStv Family then changed to DStv Access or vise versa.

Solution: In this case, Multichoice has to be contacted to confirm the upgrade/downgrade of your package. Contact VTpass support, we would handle this for you.

Payment to a Wrong Smartcard number

“Oops!”, that’s the word, but yes, this can happen. If you made subscription payment to a wrong smartcard or IUC number, your decoder would not be subscribed, obviously. Gbesee!

But not to panic, there is a way out.

Solution: Simply call up Multichoice support lines (+234 908 236 8533 for DStv or +234 803 904 4688 for GOtv) to request a transfer of funds.

You will need to provide the identification document and proof of payment then send an email to Multichoice stating the wrong smartcard you paid to and the correct smartcard number the payment should be transferred to.

Network issues

The familiar problem with anything online in Nigeria is the occasional bad network and really, no one can help it. If reconnection is been delayed as a result of network jam, the only solution is to wait a few minutes and your decoder would resume viewing.

For GOtv, you can always do a manual reset yourself when this happens. Kindly follow the instructions broadcasted on GO channel 1.

We hope this information helps someone catch up on TV entertainment faster. Subscribe your GOtv or DStv to never miss out. For further inquiries, kindly chat VTpass support through the web or mobile app or call 08138752358.

What to do when in a Bad Mood While at Work

There is this popular cliche that “every day is not Christmas”. This resonates the fact there are good days and there are bad days. Some days, we get to smile and laugh and joke around. But on some other day, the reverse is the case. And while we might have enough to spend on some days, we might not other days. And yes, this one fact determines how things run quite a lot. So, on very bad days, how do we get to control ourselves and prevent an outburst? And, especially on the days when you get to go to work and mingle with people. Now, this is something that needs addressing.

But first, it is very important to always nip in the bud any arising bad mood swing. And that is, by first locating the root cause of the foul mood. Without any doubt, the ultimate cause of bad mood and mood swings is when one is having a bad day due to certain inconveniences and hurdles. So say, you are self-employed and you are hoping to meet a deadline. But then, your meter ran out of power just as soon as you started working. You get off to renew it but your car is out of fuel. So, you get a cab only to be stuck in traffic. Now, for anyone, this is terribly bad and it can swing a bad mood. Really, this is the safest way to dealing with a bad mood while at work. Pretend you are neck deep in work and don’t say too much to anyone. They would not know of your sour mood. And you would definitely not hurt anyone if you keep to yourself.

GET TO WORK ALREADY

Have you been procrastinating a particular task? Well, you have a bad mood and you need to exhaust yourself. So, get down to the real task and do it.

MUSIC

Music is the food of the soul and evidently the medicine for a bad mood too. So, plug in your ears and move your legs to your favourite vibes.

bad moodYOU CAN STILL LAUGH

Even in a bad mood, laughter is not quite far-fetched from us. So, why not look inward or outward for that humorous thing and go on to have a good laugh?

FACE IT HEAD-ON

Still, the best way to quell a bad mood is to face it head-on Whatever the crisis may be, look it in the face and address it squarely. When you successfully get rid of it, you will be better for it.

But why not altogether prevent a bad mood by preventing those slight inconveniences that get to you? With VTpass, you can wriggle your way out of any such bad mood by getting the convenience you deserve. Pay your bills with convenience. Log on to vtpass.com or download the VTpass app now.

DISTANT RELATIONSHIP: HOW TO KEEP IT GOING

Even more than any other month, February always seems to emit an aura of love and affection. So, it is not unlikely to hear more about relationships this month than in any other month. But while it can be quite a norm to address normal relationships within normal ranges. Other relationship types that might not fall within the “normal” are worth recognising too. In this sense, long distance relationships should be on note. The popular belief basically is that relationships across long distances have a very slim chance of working out well. And yes, this can be very true. However, long-distance relationships also have prospects for longevity when the partners in question adhere to certain conditions.

So, in this turn, here are tips on how to keep a long distance relationship going.

Talk

Take it or leave it, the most important tip in keeping a distant relationship is talking. This is the only weaponry faraway lovers have in bonding. Usually, there is a lot to talk about, it only takes the patient ones to find the right conversations and delve deep. You can talk about your goals, the ground rules you need to observe, serious things, playful things. You can also make reference to your adventures, your emotions, your expectations…
