5 Things to Expect from BBNaija 2020 Season 5

It’s been all hot. Real hot; since MultiChoice announced in June that the 5th season of the Big Brother Naija (bbnaija) reality TV show premieres on July 19th, 2020.

Pulses have risen, eyes raised, hands robbing together as millions of fans wonder what to expect from this year’s edition.

If you’re like us standing at the door trying to peck inside? Don’t flex a muscle! We’ve got you covered. Here are 5 things to expect from this year’s BBNaija reality TV show, Season 5:

bbnaija 2020

1. Bigger Prize Money

When the show organizers claimed that this year’s prize money was going to be bigger, they weren’t joking. A whopping N85 million awaits the King or Queen who conquers the house. N85 million!

The breakdown of the grand prize for BBNaija season five includes an N30m cash prize; a two-bedroom apartment courtesy Revolution Plus; a top of the range SUV from Nigerian automaker, Innoson Motors; a trip to Dublin courtesy Guinness; home appliances courtesy Scanfrost; a trip to Dubai packaged by Travelbeta; a year’s supply of Indomie noodles, Munch it and Colgate toothpaste; a year’s supply of Pepsi, a branded chiller and a trip to watch the UEFA Champions League finale; and a brand new Oppo mobile smartphone.

By far, this is the biggest prize for a TV reality show in Africa. Imagine what you could do with all those goodies!

bbnaija 2020

2. COVID-19 safety measures

The organizers mentioned earlier that they would be taking precautions to keep the housemates safe and coronavirus-free in season five of the show.

We shouldn’t be surprised to see health workers in the house performing health screenings or frequently disinfecting the house in the course of the show. This should be fun.

However, we wouldn’t see any live audience at the Sunday eviction show or external visitors like celebrities or BBNaija Ninjas in the house this year. Ouch.

Carefully tested measures have been put in place to ensure minimal contact with outsiders once the housemates enter the house.

bbnaija 2020

3. Dramatic relationship, intense friendship zoning

Oh-my-god relationships, wow friendships, hahaha fights; these are the little things that keep us glued to the show.

We have seen several relationships in previous seasons and some definitely led to marriage. Teddy A and BamBam got married last year and gave us our Big Brother Naija baby.

Yeah, we know some relationships didn’t end so well, but it’s always exciting witnessing the build-up process. Season 5 wouldn’t be any different!

4. More fun games, unpredictable twists

BBNaija without the mind twists is definitely not BBNaija. Last year, just when the housemates thought that they have seen more than enough, Big Brother brought in five more housemates in just one week. The introduction of Venita, Elozonam, Enkay, Joe, and Cindy definitely spiced things up.

What about the Ultimate Veto Power given to housemates to nominate other housemates for possible eviction?

When it comes to games, BBNaija sure got it. Perhaps Betway or Guinness Nigeria would put together one of those games that always leads to drama and exciting conversations thereafter.

It’s never down to the basics, Biggie always seems to have more tricks under his sleeves.

bbnaija 2020

5. Nerve-pulling Diary sessions

Big Brother is never complete without the fun of the diary room where housemates go to pour out their hearts to Big Brother. Yikes! A lot of things are revealed in that room.

Every season, there are always housemates we refer to them as the Kings and Queens of the Diary room. We always look forward to their sessions.

Omoshola in 2019 (PepperDem) was definitely a King of the Diary room. His sessions were hilarious, exciting, and interesting to watch. He didn’t care if he was using pidgin English and English at the same time or how funny what he said could sound, he just had to say his mind.

Surely, contestants coming into the house this season understands what the diary room means and would be hoping to make the most of it. More entertainment for us! The rule is simple: “say your mind”.

Bonus – A Possible Crossdresser?

This one almost broke the internet, so we decided to make it a bonus. A Nigerian crossdresser known as Jay Boogie took to his Instagram account to ask for a social media account manager as he was going into the house.

For real? Some people affirmed this information was true, others claimed they were lies. Well, we would leave it at that and see what the house brings.

Why Your Transaction on VTpass Might Fail and What to do

While at VTpass we take every measure to ensure every transaction you carry out is successful; we are equally awake of failed transactions that can occur at times.

The majority of failed transactions are down to network issues or processing errors. In this article, we would explain why transactions on VTpass might fail and what you can do about it.

Network affecting bank payment

Payment might fail if network failure prevents your bank from confirming a transfer you initiated. Sever downtime at your bank might be responsible for this. In some cases, your bank might debit you without VTpass would receiving the payment.

The simple solution to this is to consult your bank in the event of a debit or contact VTpass support to know the status of your transaction. If your transaction hasn’t gone through, it’s best you wait a while, then try again when the network is stable.

Entering wrong card details

This is so common and perfectly understandable. Making mistakes while entering card details such as bank name, card number, CVV, etc. would prevent any transaction from going through.

Solution: simply enter your correct card details to ensure a successful transaction. Alternatively, you can activate VTpass instant wallet funding to save yourself the stress and errors of using the card every time.

Entering wrong dealer details

Similar to the reason above, entering the wrong meter number when paying electricity bills; wrong IUC or smartcard number when subscribing to your decoder, etc. would cause a transaction failure. The system would either reject the payment process, or it would stall.

In this case, the solution is to restart the payment process and enter the correct dealer details. If you have been debited upon entering a wrong dealer detail, kindly contact VTpass support to advice you on what to do.

However, we advise you to ensure the correct dealer details every time as certain payments (for example, payment made for a wrong meter number) CANNOT be refunded.

Service downtime with a service provider

No one can be blamed for this. When a service provider is experiencing downtime, payments for that particular service might fail. For example; if IKEDC is experiencing a service downtime, payments for IKEDC during the downtime would fail.

To resolve this, simply wait until the downtime passes before initiating payment for the service again.

While this is not an app, it is important to know that Google on Andriod and Apple on iPhone regularly sync with your phone data such as videos and pictures automatically. This is to provide backing and retrieval of data in case you lost your device, but it equally consumes a lot of data.

To manage your sync settings on Andriod:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Click on Account Option
  3. Click on the App whose sync settings you want to adjust
  4. Turn off sync on apps you don’t need synchronizing

For iPhone users:

  1. Open iTunes
  2. Connect your device to a computer
  3. Select your connected device from the Top device button
  4. Go to Options in Summary Sections
  5. Disable Automatic sync when this iPhone is connected
  6. Close iTunes for change to take effect

How Unlimited is Smile Unlimited data plans?

https://www.jbklutse.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/smile.jpg

Smile Telecoms remains one of the largest sub-1 GHz 4G LTE commercial networks in Africa, operating in the “future proof’ low band, 800 MHz band, and mid-band. The company is physical in five major African countries but operating in over 50 countries.

A lot of people know the usual Smile data packages that we have covered in a different article, but they have never experienced Smile Unlimited data plans. In this article, we would explore Smile Unlimited data packages in terms of speed, data plans and data sizes.

What does it mean to be Unlimited?

People confuse the term “Unlimited data” a lot. While certain advanced networks offer truly unlimited data, others do not. Unlimited means there is no cap on your data usage i.e. you are not buying 2GB or 200GB worth of data. You are buying uncapped internet access.

However, internet speed or Mbps (megabits per second) is what defines unlimited plans. Logically, the more you use data, the slower it would get. This is a measure to stop heavy downloaders from clogging the network. Imagine downloading 2GB worth of data per day?

With Smile Unlimited Platinum, subscribers get to enjoy speed up to 6Mbps and no throttling of data speeds. Depending on what you do with data, this package is truly unlimited. Now let’s look at the plans.

Smile Unlimited data plans

UnlimitedLite: This plan goes for N10,230 and is valid for 30 days. Now available in Asaba, Abuja, Benin, Ibadan, Lagos, Port Harcourt, Onitsha and Kaduna, this is the least of the unlimited plans. UnlimitedLite has a data speed of up to 8Mbps. That will reduce once 25GB data has been used. A customer may recharge with another unlimited plan to bring data speeds back to 8Mbps.

Unlimited Essential: With N15,350 you can get this data plan for a 30 days validity period. The plan allows you to use 50% data during the day and 50% at night. Great if you keep late-night online periods. Night usage commences from midnight to 6AM. Data speed of up to 8Mbps will reduce once 30GB data has been used, either during the day or night.

Unlimited Premium: Premium cost N20,270 for a period of 30 days. This plan has no data limits up to 3Mpbs. With the premium version, you have 4 Mbit/s until you reach 80GB of usage.

UnlimitedPlatinum: The Platinum plan was recently launched. This plan goes for N24,000 for a period of 30 days. The Unlimited Platinum ensures that customers enjoy super-fast, super reliable internet for as long as they want by offering data speed of up to 6Mbps, with no data, with no throttling of data speed.

Smile Unlimited plans are remarkable given their top speeds and coverage. To buy any of these Unlimited plans simply top-up here or log on to vtpass.com, a fast, convenient, and secure way to make payments online.

5 Ways Highly Successful People Start The Week

How do you plan to start your week off?

While Monday may not be everyone’s favorite day, with the struggle to get out of bed, get to classes/offices and to make it throughout the day, it is often the best day to strategically plan for the new week.

Mondays don’t always have to be dreaded instead, you can try one or a few of the tips listed below to help start your week off on a positive note.

  1. Pick A Positive Note For The Week

Select a positive affirmation that will help you with any challenges you may face this week. Set it as your lock screen on your phone so you will see it repeatedly throughout the week or write it down and hang it somewhere like on your refrigerator.

2. Plan Your Week Out

Although planning may sound like a lot of work, try to think about all the exciting and enjoyable things you have coming up this week and list them.

Remember to focus on the chores and work-related activities while also highlighting the other exciting events you are looking forward, this way, you are not just focused on the not-so-fun things you have going on this week

3. Eat A Nice/Healthy Breakfast

Medical practitioners have always advised on the importance of having breakfast.

It does not have to be something super complicated and take forever to make. You also do not have to make some fancy spread for the whole neighborhood but try to make yourself something a little extra special to kick off your week.

4. Set A Goal For The New Week

A new week is another opportunity for you to re-strategize and set new goals.

Don’t go too crazy and set a goal that is unattainable. Pick something that still presents you with a challenge, but won’t overwhelm you or is too big. It is advisable to choose something that you want to improve on in a short-term.

5. Create A ‘Monday’ Music Playlist

This may sound unnecessary, but listening to the right songs have the power to completely change your mood. Take some time to create the perfect playlist for that will make you want to jump out of bed in the morning.
