VTpass API: How to Set-up a SUB Account

Perhaps you’re hearing of VTpass sub-account for the first time and you’re wondering, “what’s this one again?” Not to worry; in this article, we would explain what it is and how you can use it.

What is Sub-Account?

VTpass API Sub-Account is a segregated account nested under the main (initial) account which was created on VTpass platform. This feature is to ensure restriction and make sure only the admin (the API agent) have access to perform transactions on the main account.

As an organization that partners with VTpass through the use of our API, we understand different departments require access to your account for various purposes hence there is always the risk of unauthorized transaction(s) been carried out.

That is why we created the Sub-Account feature which allows you to have sole control over transactions happening on your account even as different people might have access to it.

This strengthens your account security while at the same time allowing people within your organization to have access to the account for other reasons.

Here are what the Sub-Account can only be used for:

  1. Generate report
  2. View wallet top-up history
  3. View transactions
  4. Generate wallet report

In essence, the sub-account cannot be used to carry out any transactions without your permission. If you are yet to create a sub-account, we advise you to do so immediately. Here’s how:

ADJUSTMENT IN PAYMENT METHODS FOR TERMINAL AGENTS

This is quite an important information for all the terminal agents. These are those who through the stable of VTpass resell services such as airtime, data, electricity bills and tv subscriptions. First off, we would like to sincerely appreciate you for signing off on a partnership with us. You have become a vital part of our organization and you hold the reins of its success just as much as we do. It is with this in mind that we have decided to acquaint you with the little adjustment in payment method.

Rather than pay online through your card, you are now required to credit your wallet through our bank account to avoid the levied processing fee. Hence, in pre-funding your wallet, you are to deposit or transfer fundsinto the bank account given below. Consequently, beginning from this moment, any attempt to fund your wallet via the online platform will attract a 1.5% card processing fee which will be at your own expense.

This slight adjustment is bound to be of mutual benefit as it will halt the recurrent percentile losses we make on all payments done through your card online, just as it will help ensure your commission.

Below are the details of the account with which you are required to now perform all financial transactions:

Account Name: Broadshift Ventures
Account Number: 0137830731
Bank: GTBank

And if you feel you want to opt out of the terminal agent program, do feel free to send us a mail so we can downgrade your wallet to that of a regular customer’s.

If you want to know more about this, you can just click on this: Agent Academy

You can also contact us via any of these means.
