Make Money With VTpass Affiliate Marketing

In this blog post, I am going to take you through ways that you can make money from VTpass affiliate marketing but for those of us who don’t know what affiliate marketing is, let’s quickly answer the question:

WHAT IS AFFILIATE MARKETING?

According to Wikipedia; Affiliate marketing is a type of performance-based marketing in which a business rewards one or more affiliates for each visitor or customer brought by the affiliate’s own marketing effort.

And that is exactly what VTpass is offering you. An opportunity to make money when you partner with us. To be an affiliate with us means that we are both in partnership with ourselves. You need us and we need you; quid pro quo.

We will talk about how affiliate marketing works in detail later but for now, let me give you a general idea. You register as an affiliate marketing partner on our website and we will generate a unique affiliate code for you. When you market the unique code and people buy using that link, you get paid. Simple isn’t it?

Having explained what affiliate marketing is, let’s turn our attention to people who can partner with us in affiliate marketing.

WHO CAN BECOME A PARTNER WITH VTPASS?

The simple answer to this is anybody!

Do you have a mobile phone? Do you have internet access? Do you have a blog? Do you have a social media account? If your answer to any of these questions is yes, then you qualify to become an affiliate partner of VTpass. The only thing to note is that you’d probably need internet access in any case to promote your affiliate links.

Having established who and who can register to partner with us an affiliate, let us take a look at an important aspect of affiliate marketing: what is an affiliate link?

WHAT IS AN AFFILIATE LINK?

According to Techopedia, An affiliate link is a specific URL that contains the affiliate’s ID or username. Like we said earlier, when you join us as an affiliate marketer, we will get an affiliate link. That special link is what you are going to be promoting either to your family, friends, colleagues at work or your fellow worshipers in your church/mosque to mention a few.

VTPASS AFFILIATE: HOW DOES IT WORK?

The VTpass affiliate network works in a very simple format. The first thing to note is there are three important parts that make our affiliate network seamless:

  1. There is you, the affiliate marketer.
  2. There is the affiliate link.
  3. Then there is us, the affiliate advertisers.

Without any of the three components above, an affiliate network will not work. As an organization, we need our products and services to be put in front of prospective buyers so we need you. As an affiliate marketer, you need products and services to sell, so you need us. And the affiliate link is the central thing that connects you with us!

MTN DAILY DATA PLANS: EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

MTN DAILY DATA PLANS: EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

MTN otherwise known as Mobile Telecommunications Network company is a South African multination giant in the telecommunication industry.

With a presence in more than 20 countries worldwide, MTN is the largest telecommunications company in Africa and the 8th largest in the world.

MTN is a very popular telecommunications service provider in Nigeria with the West African nation single-handedly accounting for over a third of the company’s revenue.

The company penetrated the Nigerian market in the early 2000s with its targeting of Nigeria’s young populace. Introducing free night calls, affordable data plans and more important, cheap mobile phone SIM cards. Today more and more Nigerians are using MTN for data services which brings us to the main gist of today.

MTN daily plans and everything you should know about them.

MTN DAILY DATA PLANS: IS IT ANY DIFFERENT?

The number one complaint on the lips of most Nigerians in recent times has been the high cost of data. It is not a hidden secret that most telecommunications network providers are ripping customers off with data rates as high as 3 Naira per megabyte and even then service providers do not provide full value for service!

To answer the question posed by this subtopic, unfortunately, MTN is not better than other network service providers when it comes to data tariff rates, but at least you can bank on the availability of service.

MTN DAILY DATA PLANS: WHAT ARE YOUR OPTIONS?

You have 7 options when it comes to MTN daily data plans. With this variety to choose from, you have to choose a plan that will suit your needs. For example, if you know you are going to spend the day on Instagram, it might be more advisable for you to go for an “Instabinge” plan than say, go for the 75MB plan. Now let’s take a cursory look at the different plans:

  1. MTN 25MB daily plan: The 25MB plan will cost you 50 Naira. It is expensive like most data plans in Nigeria but can be helpful when you want to quickly check something online. Just make sure that it is not on Instagram!
  2. MTN 75MB daily Plan: This plan will cost you 100 Naira. It is still expensive but more reasonably priced than its previous counterpart. Do you need to do a quick research on your mobile phone and you don’t have money for a monthly plan? This is the perfect plan for you.
  3. MTN 250MB Instabinge plan: Heads up! This plan can only be used for surfing Instagram. If you want to spend some time on Instagram only and have limited budget, then this plan is for you! It costs only 100 Naira, but remember, you can only use it for Instagram.
  4. MTN 1GB daily Instabinge plan: This plan will cost 200 Naira and can only be used for Instagram like the previous plan that we discussed.
  5. MTN 250MB Nightlife plan: Like every other network service provider in Nigeria, MTN also has a night browsing plan. For this specific plan, MTN offers you 250MB for just 25Naira! It is one of their most generous plans and should be taken advantage of by freelancers and researchers alike. You can however only subscribe for one nightlife plan per day so don’t get any funny ideas. Okay?
  6. MTN 500MB Nightlife plan: Like its predecessor, this plan is made for nightwalkers. You can get 500MB for 50 Naira. Cheap right? We think so too!
  7. MTN 25 Naira WhatsApp daily plan: For people that are not interested in browsing other websites but just want a simple plan that can allow them chat on WhatsApp, this plan is for you. Make calls at your own risk though!

UNDERSTANDING THE STAMP DUTY CHARGE

This post will answer some of the following questions:

1. What is the stamp duty charge

2. How much is the charge for stamp duty

3. Are Agents charged for stamp duty?

4. Is stamp duty charge the same as a convenience fee?

WHAT IS STAMP DUTY CHARGE
Stamp duty charge is a statutory charge payable on electronic transfers and cash payments into a corporate account.

How Much is The Charge for Stamp Duty

Stamp duty charge is a charge of N50 on every transaction from N1,000

What you need to know about the CBN’s N50 stamp duty:

1. It is an Act that was passed into law called the Stamp Duties Act 2004 and Federal Government Financial Regulations 2009, but implementation started in 2016.

2. The Stamp Duty charge is not being imposed by VTpass, but by the Federal government through the CBN.

3. The imposition of the Stamp Duties Act is to enhance the government’s revenue generation drive which has become necessary due to the fall in global oil prices.

4. All receipts, whether Cash or Electronic transfers from N1000 and above into a Current account is eligible and will be charged N50 stamp duty.

5. Only Current accounts are eligible to be charged Stamp Duty on all receipts.

6. The N50 requirement for the charge will be charged per transaction and not per volume; that is any transactions from N1,000 and above.

7. The N50 duty only applies to payments made into the company’s designated account for wallet funding.

Kindly note that when you credit your wallet by either paying into our bank account or by bank transfer, a

duty charge of N50 is automatically deducted from your payment by The Central bank of Nigeria (CBN) for paying into a corporate account.

So that means we can only credit your wallet with the remainder of the amount. For example, if you make a payment of 1000 into the VTpass account, you will be credited 9950 in your wallet because of the automatic deduction by CBN.

Our advice is, when crediting your wallet, add an extra 50 Naira so that

Are Agents charged for stamp duty?
Kindly note that the stamp duty charge is applicable to all agents, terminal agents, trade partners, refer a friend, regular users in as much it has to do with wallet crediting.

How To Start Your Own Business

Start your own business

Starting a business could be one of the most rewarding things you would ever do. For one, you will be the boss of yourself; which means that you control your working hours, your schedule and your risks. More importantly, you will be making a living for yourself! Which is fantastic.

For starters, there are some things you need to put in mind before starting a business.

  1. WHAT KIND OF BUSINESS DO YOU WANT TO ENGAGE IN?

One of the best ways to do good business is to look out for a problem in your neighborhood, community, street, etc. and look for a solution to it.

If you are short of a business idea, then you should consider becoming a VTpass terminal agent. If you don’t know how to, read this post here on how to become a terminal agent.

2. HOW TO START YOUR OWN BUSINESS: CHOOSE A GOOD LOCATION

Another important step when one is trying to start a business is looking for a good location. Many franchisers in business consider your outlet location as a paramount prerequisite before granting or denying you a franchise. This means that the business world and indeed business people are aware of the importance of location. Choose somewhere that is located near your target audience and somewhere that is quite accessible.

Here are a few order things you should do when starting a business.

  1. Own your name. Make sure the company name you choose is one with an available trademark and Internet domain name. To see if a trademark is available, you can do a trademark search online through the United States Patent and Trademark Office’s website. Failure to properly obtain a trademark could put your fledgling business at risk — not to mention that the time and money you have invested in establishing your business name could go to waste if someone else owns the trademark. Don’t assume your new business name is not trademarked because you were unsuccessful finding such name on the Internet, either. Someone could have used the name for a business that closed, or filed a trademark and never used it.
  2. Get in with the law. Understand what regulations, licenses and taxes you will need to follow, obtain and pay for your new business. After doing some initial research on your own, consult with a lawyer and accountant to confirm your understanding and to help structure your business to be in compliance with the law. Generally speaking, you will need to need to (i) ensure you are charging the correct amount of tax your service or product that your business is promoting, if applicable and (ii) obtain all of the proper licenses needed to run your new business, at a minimum. Establishing a successful business is hard enough. The last thing you need is some technical legality or administrative detail to stand in the way of your success.
  3. How much do you need to live? When working on your business plan, do not forget about the most important factor: YOU. You need to take into account your living costs. Rent, mortgages, and health insurance — these are all things that don’t pay for themselves. You will most likely need to cut out all the unnecessary extras you can live without. Make sure you account for unforeseen or unexpected expenses by factoring a little flexibility into your budget for those “just-in-case” moments. You might even consider taking a part-time job until things pick up with your new venture and speak to a financial planner to help you budget yourself properly.
  4. Where are you in your life? Starting a new business takes brains, bravery, and what will seem to be endless hours of hard work. When you own your own company, there is always something that has to get done. You will most likely find yourself working at least 60-80 hours a week for the first two years. With that said, I’ll ask you one very important question: Are you ready to give up your personal life for the next three years?
  5. Don’t over — or underspend. Starting a business can be incredibly financially tasking on you and your family. You will need to learn where and when to spend. It’s important not to waste those precious seed dollars but it’s equally important to spend where necessary. In any business, you often have to spend money to make money.  Don’t skip out on things your company needs. For example, it may be worth it to put 1500 Naira in an online vendor listing, but it may not be necessary to give every new customer a 15 Naira mug. Be sure to keep up with technology too — there are many time-saving programs and apps (including free or inexpensive ones) that can help you keep track of it all, and as we all know, “time is money.”
