UPDATE TO THE VTPASS API TRANSACTIONS VIEW PAGE

We have some exciting news to share that will make managing your transactions a breeze. We are delighted to announce a major change to our transactions view page. This change is aimed at enhancing your overall experience.

At VTpass, we understand the importance of staying ahead of the curve and continuously improving our platform to meet your evolving needs. With this in mind, we have meticulously crafted a revamped Transactions View page.

With this update, we have set out to achieve two key objectives: first, to enhance your understanding of the status of each transaction initiated, and second, to provide you with powerful features that make navigating your transactions effortless. We’re confident that this revamp will empower you to take control of your transactions like never before.

PERUSE TO UNDERSTAND EACH STAGE OF TRANSACTION PROCESS.

As of this point, the API TRANS STATUS INSIGHT indicates that this transaction is pending. This means that you have been charged for this transaction, but the value is yet to be delivered as the transaction is processed by the service provider. You are advised not to refund your customer. In this case, feedback is expected to arrive within minutes of initiating the transaction.

Within minutes of initiating this transaction, you should click the “Re-check Status” button to get further insight into this transaction. This will open up a “Transaction Resolution” screen as shown in Image B below.

It will take a few minutes for this page to load successfully, and the results will be either of the following:

SUCCESSFUL TRANSACTION

transaction completed view on the transactions view page.

This will confirm to you that the transaction was successful, and value has been delivered to the customer. A successful transaction means that the customer has received value for the product or service they paid for, and that their payment was processed without any issues.

FAILED TRANSACTION

transaction failed view on the transactions view page.

In case the window transits into this page, it simply means that the transaction failed, and could not be completed. In the event of this, we can assure you that you won’t be charged for this transaction. The window transition indicates that the transaction was unsuccessful and therefore it did not go through to the payment processor. As such, no charges have been made to your account and you will not be billed for the attempted transaction.

transaction reversed view on the transactions view page.

In this view, it means that the transaction failed, and couldn’t be delivered. The difference is that your wallet may be debited. Per adventure, if your wallet was debited in the process, it will be reversed automatically.

It is noteworthy that in the previous scenario where the transaction returned as FAILED, your wallet wouldn’t be debited. But in this case, your wallet, although previously been debited, would be refunded and the charges would be charged.

transaction resolved view on the transactions view page.

Stay tuned as we roll out this exciting updates in the coming days. In the meantime, don’t hesitate to contact our dedicated support team if you have questions or need assistance. We value your feedback, and we’re eager to hear your thoughts on the revamped Transactions View page.

Thank you for being part of our journey as we enhance our platform to serve you better. Here’s to smoother transactions!

Everything you need to know is here. And all that’s left is to digest the material and proceed to integrate. First of, let’s introduce APIs

What is an API?

APIs are not strange to those who have been around the tech space. However, not everyone has. Hence, the need for this explanation.  API is an acronym for Application Programming Interface. It is a set of commands, function, protocols and objects that programmers can use to create software or interact with an external system.  It provides developers with standard commands for performing common operations so they do not have to write the code from scratch. Well, not everyone is a computer geek. So, to understand API at its core, read here.

Who Can Use An API?

Anyone can. Well, for the actual integration, you will most likely need the help of a programmer. However, the first criteria for integrating VTpass International Airtime API is to have a website. Not just any kind of website. Precisely, a bills payment website. Subsequently, your developer can help you with the VTpass International Airtime API Integration.

Upon integration, you are able to offer the same services to your own customers directly from your website. Consequently, you offer your customers more value this way. And they never get to visit or be redirected to any third party website. What more? It cost absolutely nothing! Can’t believe your eyes right? Yes, you read right! As a result, you offer more value at no extra cost to you. Moreover, you even earn commission when you integrate International Airtime on VTpass.

What is International Airtime?

International Airtime, just like the name implies, is simply airtime for other countries in the world. This means you can purchase airtime for any country in the world and pay in Naira. Click here to see all the countries available, and to know more, click here.

How To Buy International Airtime For Friends & Family In The Abroad

Wondering why you would ever need to know how to buy International Airtime? Family is everything. And they’re not just those related to us by blood. Over time, friends become family. We share moments together, forge deep bonds until…someone relocates and while they are trying to find their feet, relationships grow apart.

There’s a lot to adjust to when friends/family relocate. A new time zone. A new culture. They have to develop new relationships. They also have to survive and make ends meet because there’s probably no one to give them “urgent 2k” and they have more bills to pay. Yes. In an economy that works, there are more bills to settle. All these can put a strain on relationships back home.

How about parents who have children schooling overseas, while yet trying to work jobs barely enough to pay their rent in the abroad? Can you relate now? Here’s the truth. Everybody’s got someone overseas, when you look at it! And now, you can put smiles on their faces by a simple thoughtful gesture. Wondering how?

That’s where we come in. Now you can buy International Airtime for friends and family in the abroad and pay in Naira.

Update on Making DStv and GOtv Payments on VTpass

There’s a new update on making DStv and GOtv payments on VTpass, and we’re here to tell you all about it. At VTpass, we believe so much in customer satisfaction. That’s why we continue to make necessary updates in response to your feedback.

We believe that you should get value immediately you make payment, all things being equal. We however have noticed that some customers do not get reconnected immediately. Also, we noticed that some customers are prone to making errors when making payment for their DStv and GOtv, paying to the wrong IUC number. This update helps with these issues. Read how below.

What The Update Is

When making DStv and GOtv payments on the platform, you will have to input your IUC number first for the system to verify before proceeding to select your desired package. Other fields remain frozen and inactive until then. Attempts to input other details before then won’t work. Only your email will be auto filled if you have a pre-existing account on VTpass.

What This Update Does

Immediately you input your IUC number, our system will display the details to you. That way, you see the name on the decoder, current package, expiry date and cost of renewing the same package before making payment. Neat, we know!

Now your decoder gets reconnected immediately. Also, you can ensure that payment is being made to the valid IUC number. No more incorrect IUC payments going through.

Another benefit of this update is identifying when you want to upgrade or downgrade your bouquet. After the IUC details have been verified, click on “select what to do” and choose between “renew current bouquet” or “change bouquet”

Renewing bouquet keeps you on the bouquet you are currently on, while changing bouquet gives you the option to move to a higher or lower bouquet of your choice automatically and instantly.

That’s the new update on making DStv and GOtv payments on VTpass. Found this article helpful? Kindly share on your social media handles. Follow VTpass on FacebookInstagram, or Twitter.
